ATLANTE Elastomeric Bearings (AEBs) are made of high-quality elastomer, reinforced by steel plates. The two materials are chemically bonded in a vulcanisation process, forming a shear and pressure resistant connection. The steel reinforcing plates resist any arising tensile forces, are fully enclosed in elastomer and thus permanently protected from corrosion.
ATLANTE Elastomeric Bearings (AEBs) are designed and manufactured to accommodate translational movements in any direction and rotational movements about any axis by elastic deformation, in order to transmit in a correct manner, from one structural component to another, the design forces and accommodate the design movements derived from the structural analysis.
ATLANTE Elastomeric Bearings (AEBs) are available in the following variations as defined by EN 1337-3:
Type A: Laminated bearing fully covered with elastomer comprising only one steel reinforcing plate.
Type B: Laminated bearing fully covered with elastomer comprising at least two steel reinforcing plates.
Type C: Laminated bearing with outer steel plates (profiled or allowing fixing).
Type D: Type B with PTFE sheet bonded to the elastomer.
Type E: Type C with one outer plate bonded to the elastomer and PTFE sheet recessed in the steel.
Type F: Plain pad bearings and strip bearings.
They can be combined with complementary bearing devices to extend their field of use, such as a sliding system, either temporary or permanent, or a constraining system in any direction.
ATLANTE is proud to announce that AGM® special sliding material made of fluoropolymer has successfully completed a long term friction test over an accumulated slide path of 50000 m in accordance with EAD 050009-00-0301.
